I work with a group of Boy Scouts. recently they wanted to work on the Automotive Maintenance merit badge. There's requirements they need to do such as changing a tire, checking fluids, etc. I brought out the 71 hardtop and my 2015 to show them the differences in the basics. The young men preferred  the 71 Challenger. Here's a photo taken that evening. My 13 year old grandson loves to work on my Challengers and Chargers with me. That's him in the background behind the 71. This 71 was one I was going to cut up. My son who was 15 at the time talked me into doing a father /son project with him. It took us 2 years and he was able to drive it to school his senior year at high school in 2004. It was a rolling hulk with no front sheet metal and no drive train except for the rear axles and differential. Originally a 318 auto car which we changed into a 360 four speed car with front disc brakes. No new parts used to assemble it except brakes,  wheels and tires, exhaust tips, Holley carb, windshield and wheel opening mouldings and carpet and headliner. All else was spare parts I had. He selected the paint which we argued over because I didn't want yellow. He won. Anyway, the scouts enjoyed checking and comparing the two cars. There's hope for the younger generation.
