Sixpack Needle/Seat Question

What's the deal with this needle and seat setup?  I've seen others like it but it isn't OE right?  I'm thinking it maybe a replacement for stripped fuel bowl threads?

Got a reply on Moparts id'ing as aftermarket Sorenson part.  Thanks for your input.  The needle/seat assembly backs out to a point and then is stuck solid.  I may need to use a small vise grips to twist it all the way out.  I obviously want to avoid damaging the bowl.

remove the top seal , work it back & forth slowly with lots of lube

You're right, that needle and seat setup isn't original equipment (OE). It's often used as a repair solution when the fuel bowl threads get stripped. It basically replaces the original seat with a threaded insert to restore proper sealing and function. The OE style you see in the second pic is the factory setup.
