Storing my engine for the winter anybody have advice on good stabilizer to add to the fuel or should I use a complete different fuel I heard something of small engine fuel with no ethanol, curious what you guys out there do for storing as far as fuel is concerned
It's Amazing what we can accomplish~

With just a little bit of hard work.

And a whole LOT of complaining!!... lol

Ethanol free gas treated with Sta Bil...run it after treatment to get it in the fuel system...or better yet drain all fuel from the engine

I can't get ethanol free fuel at the pump in my state but, fortunately, I have a VP dealer close by. I buy a 5 gallon can of C9 ethanol free fuel and add Seafoam to it. Never had a problem.

Again, make sure you run the old gas out of it and let the ethanol run through the engine for a good 10 minutes. I think Seafoam vs StaBil is just whatever your preference is.

Interesting timing on this thread. I was out in the shop today cleaning my lawnmower and I got thinking that I always put stabilizer in the cars but never in the lawnmower or four wheeler. And it's never been a problem. Huh.  :dunno:

Hardware stores sell cans of ethanol free fuel in case there aren't gas stations around you that do.

It just so happens that my friend that sells the ethanol-free gas was closed on a Sunday, so I just put the stabilizer in it this year, should be okay,
next year

I've never had access to anything other than E10 and haven't had any issues.

On small engine stuff I've gone both ways - Stalbil or empty the tank. I left untreated fuel in my chain saw once.... BAD NEWS  :bricks:

Here in Canada, Shell high test is ethanol free. You pay through the nose, but there's no alky in it. Is that not the way it goes in the States?  :dunno:

@jimynick I'm pretty sure Petro Can premium is also ethanol free.

I don't think that is correct?  :alan2cents:

Petro Can? Petro Can? Would that be the gas company that the government bought and paid for with our tax dollars and then added another tax per litre- "only until it's paid for" and then never took the tax off and further sold the company and never gave us one damn red cent of the proceeds back for? That company? Sorry, but I've got a bit of a whijy up my skirt about those sphincters and don't give them my custom, so I wouldn't know. Here endeth the rant.  :))
