I've been driving my car a lot and I don't know if it's because of the cold weather but I've noticed a squeak that's non-stop if I'm going over 25.

It's from the trunk and I'm 95% certain it's where the trunk hinge is.  I've oiled it and that didn't seem to help a whole lot.

Any suggestions?

I hope I don't sound like a whiner it's just kind of annoying, a constant squeak Non-Stop.

I just thought of something that's worth mentioning.  When the trunk lid is in the closed position there is a little bit of wiggle room if that makes sense up and down.  Thanks

Can you create the noise by shaking/wiggling/bouncing the car while it's sitting still? If so throw a child in the trunk & making him earn his freedom....    :haha:   Or probably better if you climb in or convince someone else to do it....  Might find the noise is in the rear suspension....

Okay I just put my 10-year-old in there and I got a new problem, trunk is now stuck closed.

I just wiggled the trunk and I'm certain it's where it latches and it's just non-stop squeaking like an annoying student I teach.  I'm certain it's not the suspension.  Thanks

In my car the trunk has two torsion rods. They rubbed and squeaked previously. I slipped a little foam pipe insulation over where the two rods were close together. Hasn't squeaked since.  :alan2cents:

Loosen the bolts holding the latch & move it down so it is tighter .

Another thought would be the weather strip itself possibly. If the seal is older, wipe the it down with silicone to rejuvenate it...something I have done in the past when seals start to dry out... :alan2cents:
