A local Mopar buddy of mine was over at my house yesterday helping me out with my Magnum, and while out in my garage chatting, he mentioned buying some parts from a guy scrapping a T/A back in '73 or '74.  He got the seats out of it, and found a broadcast sheet in a seat, that he still has to this day.  I asked him to send me a scan of it, which he did last night.
Interesting car, white with black vinyl top and 4 speed.
He cut the trans tunnel out of the car, and said the car was red, and the floorboards were red, so the sheet must be for a different car then the one being scrapped as the car almost certainly not repainted from white to red.   I wonder if the car the sheet is for still exists?
311311, nice symmetry!

I'd sent a scan to Barry Washington too, and he emailed me today that the VIN is new to his registry also.  T/A number 1639 he has a record of right now in his registry!
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed when my friend sent me the scan though.  My red T/A was sold at Grand Spaulding in Chicago and I'd found sheets in it, both of which were for a purple T/A 22 VIN after mine.  I sent the sheets to that car's owner in NY over 30 years ago when Jeff Coe, who ran the T/A registry at the time, put the owner in touch with me.
In addition, I found out my T/A was one of a group of 4 identically optioned consecutively VIN'd T/As sold at Mr Norms, after spotting the T/A 2 VIN # past mine at a show around 15 years ago, and the owner telling me the broadcast sheet he found in his car was the one for the identical car one VIN past his.  That car survives and he returned the sheet to its owner.  So 3 of those 4 cars still are known to exist!
When my friend told me about a red T/A being scrapped in Chicago that he had a broadcast sheet for, I wondered if by chance it might have been the missing car.  Or if it too had the wrong sheets in it, perhaps the sheet would have been for my car!  That would have been a miracle, but it was not to be.  It wasn't for the missing car or my car either.  The scrapped T/A might have been the missing T/A of the quartet, but little chance we will ever know, as it was in the process of disappearing off the face of the earth 50 years ago.  :crying:
