There was a Huge Custom Car scene in Britain in the 1970s and into the 80s and even the Challenger got the treatment !
This is from the May 81 issue of Custom Car magazine, the stunning chick is / was Helle Kjaer, who was in huge demand in the early 1980s. She was also a regular in Custom Bike magazine.
This one has survived and is back to its OE Plum Crazy now.

The hood was re painted again, as the cobbles made the hood look twisted.

Helle seems to have disappeared into obscurity. She walked right past me one day, as I was walking into a model photographers studio in Clerkenwell in 83.
