At some point it may be necessary to form a pro-classic car lobbying organization to protect owner's interests / rights.   :unitedstates:

I agree it's devastating to see them put this much effort into this.

Eventually it'll swing over this way

This is REALLY ridiculous! If they try this here in the US I will do my utmost to break every law they put on the books! I will seriously go Mad Max on their asses! NO joke!

The worst part is, this truly is just a money grab. It has already been shown that our cars are such a small percentage of vehicles on the road that even if they all magically vanished, you would see no change in air quality. That is why "most" states have removed any emissions requirements on our cars. I honestly don't think they could enact anything like that here. We're no where near as placid as the British when it comes to our government. I.E. JunkYardFind. And that's a good thing.  :)

This is insane!!! They should look into how much co2 is created by making just ONE battery for an electric car.. Then in 8 to 10 yrs how to dispose of it!!!

i can't believe it can happen in England , they are really car lovers , and if you remove the english from Le Mans Classic it's 50 % of attendant and public less ! In France we have some associations for classic cars and they are fighting to keep us safe and be able to drive our cars wherever we want , i m suprise it's not the same over there ....

...and within that is the SEMA Action Network which strictly dedicated to stopping overreaching legislation such as this. Anyone can join the group and it consists of numerous OEMs, clubs, enthusiasts, and legislative officials.
