They’re still coming out of the woodwork

I took the car out for a stroll today and while I'm sitting at the traffic light in town around the corner comes a 72-4 Challenger project car on a trailer. No front bumper, grille or hood scoop inserts. They're still out there.

The looks, stares, honks and thumbs up gestures I got when trailering my 70 RT from Cleveland to Peoria Illinois were pretty uplifting, yet I had to drive 500 miles to get one.  Crazy thing is not many of us know that beauty that's sitting in a garage 5 miles from home (as I just found...70 and 71 verts that have been garaged as dead for 30 years).

I know there's a 70 Challenger in a garage in town that's been sitting for 15 or 20 years and the owner won't drive it or sell it. The house got condemned and torn down. It looks like the garage is about to collapse onto the car.

A well known "friend" I know had a Quanset with 5 Ebodies in there , It collapsed on the cars , 1 was saved by another friend before it fell in .

That's what I am always hunting for.
Believe it or not I do look for cars other than M46's.
I just hope a JUVR coded car plops in my lap from some old fella just wanting someone to take care of his dead car.

Sometime earlier this year, or maybe it was last fall, I noticed a 72-74 Challenger appeared among the trailers and motor homes parked at a storage place near my house.  It was FJ5.  I thought I'd stop sometime and take a few pictures through the fence, but never got around to it.  Well a few weeks ago I noticed it was gone, so I missed my chance.  I hope it is in someone's garage now getting tore apart for a restoration!
Looking at auction listings, I notice many of them are photographed outside of storage units.  Which makes one realize just how many vintage cars are hidden away in storage across North America.  I'm guilty myself with my 71 Challenger that I've wanted to find a new home for but been unsuccessful, it's in a storage building where among the other cars there are a Gator grain T/A relatively complete project car that I'm told has been there for 25-30 years, and a nice looking 70 383 cuda FY1 white interior that the owner never does anything with, though it looks like you could pull the car cover off it and fire it up and head off to a show or cruise in.

Always looking myself.
There are a couple of early A bodies near where I used to work that had been there for years.
