Since the original clips aren't available I came across 2 that somewhat serve the purpose. The place I bought from ran out of the #1 type and on re-order it was replaced with the #2 style. Both, needed alterations; #1 to fit through the hole and #2 for aesthetics. Decided to post this up in case there was any interest in these.

I should have said where they were found. There's a place in St. Catharines, ON called "Top Tech Auto Body Refinishes and Supplies". I think they used to be Cross Canada Auto Body but I'm not sure. The catalogue he showed me was called "Au-ve-co Products".

Auveco #12729. I couldn't find a place on-line that would sell just one.

AMK shows something similar to #1.  Does anyone have pics and estimated size of an original?  Are they pretty small?

Could one of you guys post some pics of what your wiring and light look like?

In my '73 Cuda, the trunk lighting is completely absent.

The clip in the Meerholz pic looks closer to my smaller #2 one. Unsure if his is OEM though.

Thanks. Mine looks like this.  I don't know where the bulb is supposed to be.

@cnm2215  maybe start your own separate thread. This one was meant for just the clip discussion.

That's not trunk lid light wiring - I think you found an old air fill/adjustment line for air filled shock absorbers, or air shocks, pretty common modification back in the day.

Funny, I actually use an old air shock line holder for my trunk wire clip/holder until I find the proper holder - it was very similar to the clip/holder alternatives being shared in this thread.

Sorry!

We now return you to the previously scheduled program:

Looks like Auveco sells 'em in batches of 25....and they don't list the price? That doesn't sound good.

Googling "Auveco 12729" came up with several prices for bulk purchase. Not all shipped to Canada as the case with Amazon.com, they have a free shipping option too at a slightly higher price. After cutting off the "ears" this is the one I'm leaving in my car.
