This should be an easy one.
What Motor Oil are all you guys using for High Reving 340's
I just put in 10W-30 Royal Purple but not sure about Synthetic..

Amzoil Z-Rod.

IMO, synthetic is the only way to go.

I run Lucas Hot Rod Oil with high Zinc in my motors. 20/50  My 340 is spinning high rpm all the time with 3.91 gears. When running hard I shift at 6700 rpm and I do that quite often. Is it the best?  Couldn't say but it works really well for me. I like the Driven HR1 15/50 as well but it's a little more pricey but a very high quality oil.

I ran Lucas last time I know it's good. I thought I'd try the RP because it rarely goes on sale.. Got it for $47.00 cnd /5Q. Half that likely for all you guys south of the 47th parallel.

Lucas Hot Rod and Classic high zinc motor oil, 10W-30 for my 416 stroker but engine has yet rev over 5000 RPM. Thinking going synthetic for the next oil change.
