As a kid I remember dad driving the car with just one finger in the outer hole of the spoke.  That just tells you how "over boosted" the PS is on these cars.

Yep...I was in a bad habit of doing it myself...next best thing to a suicide knob!  :cooldance: It was also a recipe for oversteer if doing it at high speed on curves.  :stayinlane: For cruisin I had stacks of washers under the front seat tracks tilting the seat back some (took pressure off my back a little for long trips) and I could rest my arm on my leg and drive with a finger. Didnt have a problem with rubbing or getting out...putting kids in a car seat in an E-body was my nightmare. Sorry..got off track here..carry on!

Yup, 72-4 not 70-71though allot of guys use them cause it is a decent looking wheel...

yeah but it is kind big!!!
It is so you can see the speedo?

Agreed!  I love my tuff wheel but you can not read the speedo at
all!!

I have one of these wheel and may swap it over.

Never much cared for that stock wheel on my 73 Challenger. One of the first mods I made on the car back in the 70's was a Tuff wheel, which I love, and have no problem seeing the speedo. The Tuff wheel is still on my car today.

Funny thing @Brads70 is, my son still uses a booster...11 years old and can not see out the window in any of our cars!!!

Seriously,  I am 5.9...and I can not see the top of the speedo...drive me nuts while driving!

I'm 6'2" and it was a problem for me too. I swapped it for a tuff wheel from PG Classic and it's much smaller and feels better than the hard stock wheel.
