I'm just go through my new to me 73 Cuda and starting a list of what needs to be done and what I need to purchase.

Is there a one stop showing place or does it depend on what parts you need?

If there is more than one manufacture for a given product, is one better then the other?

so far I am am looking for body parts, seat belts.

At some point I will be looking at possibly going new wiring harness since the current one is so old and most likely been hacked in some areas.

Chryco Psycho

I would Start with @MoparDave  at Roseville
You get a site discount , they restore cars there & are familiar with parts from different manufacturers & what is the best part from different manufacturers .
the best wiring harnesses are from MH through Year One or Dave

Marty

How do you get the site discount? Got a huge shopping list ready.

:iagree:  PM @MoparDave  for the best deals.     Tell him you are with the E-Bodies.org forum and he takes great care of us!

:iagree: Roseville is the first place I look whenever I need anything.

Just to echo what Chryco already wrote, go with the M&H harnesses through Year One if you're replacing wiring.   They are very well made and spot on accurate for wire color coding and connectors.   Best to wait for a 15% off sale at Year One - typically someone here posts when the sale is underway.

Detroit Muscle Technologies (DMT) is a great source for foam gaskets (heater box, behind tail and side marker lights, etc).

JS Restorations (member @Slotts ) for many electrical component restorations like dash switches.

Doctor Diff for rear axle, brakes and suspension.

If you're adding any frame stiffening components, I was happy with the subframe connectors and other products from US Cartool.

This could end up being a very long vendor list, so maybe the best advice is to post a message when you're getting ready for any major purchases (or even lots of little ones as they tend to be the sneaky budget-breakers).   I can guarantee you that someone else here can give you feedback on where to go and who to avoid.

For my fellow Canadians, how do you find the shipping charges? I live close enough to the border that if need be I can take advantage of the free shipping within the states (if they offer that) and pic up myself at a local mailbox service.

Ship everything to the mailbox service and go import them yourself. You will save significant dollars. I live 40 kilometres  from the border and its definitely worth the drive.
I have bought some small items from Dave recently and had them shipped to my house. a $40 item can carry about a $15usd shipping charge. Not Dave's fault, just what shippers charge to cross the border for you.
And one last thing. NEVER, EVER, EVER, use UPS for cross border shipping. They will charge you ridiculous fees. Easily double what anybody else charges.
The brown truck is not welcome at my house. The worst from them for me was a $45 shipping and brokerage fee for a $23 part. You have been warned...
