Is there a wipe down product i can use to take the dust off my car without washing? It has a new paint job and i just got it back from the painter about 3 weeks ago, and i already have a skiff of dust sitting on it. I have a new cover, but I don't want to put it on until i get it cleaned.

I usually use Meguiar's products. I came across them at a body shop I worked at 30 years ago... so there is probably other stuff out there better. However I use Meguiar's quick detailer with one of those red cotton dusters. works well for me.

Is it okay to use with a new paint job? I was told not to use any product that leaves a product on the paint.

Personally? I've used a soft stream of water (soft water when available) and wipe it down with a chamois. I'd also run it past your paint shop.

If you have compressed air, it's always worth while to blow it off first....then I used a damp soft cloth, or a quick detailer from Meguiar's
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Adams has really good stuff and I've used all their stuff on my high end paint jobs. They have some clothes that are super soft that you could lightly wipe with using no product.

They usually say not to use any waxes until your paint cures so it doesn't seal the clear so it can fully cure.

Use a California duster to remove dust. Then I use Meguiars Finale inspection as a waterless cleaner to wipe down the whole car. I don't wash the cars with water to avoid rust.

I will give the shop a call tomorrow and ask them about Meguirrs detail product. Thanks for all the information.
