Would you rather?

Wasn't sure what to expect from this thread when I clicked on it. When I hear the
phrase 'would you rather...' the question is usually..a...little more ..uh...colorful. lol

I hear you!! It's usually a choice between the lesser of two undesirable things. My mother use to pose that question to us kids when we were misbehaving ...  "would you rather get the paddle now or wait for your father to get home??"

Tough call as I really like the shakers, but the stick is what makes these cars IMHO and I can retrofit a shaker 4 decades later if I've got to have one easier than converting the car to a manual from automatic.

Lucky for me , I have the best of both worlds on this .. shaker and 4spd. But to be honest and you , the 4spd is far more important to me. I was looking for a 71 cuda and it had to be a 4spd. I just got lucky finding one with the shaker as well!

This one is a conundrum for me.  I am not a fan of the shaker, but I like the auto.  The advantages of the auto outweigh the disadvantages of the shaker hood.  So count me in for the auto/shaker.  I got what I want in my Cuda with and auto trans and a scooped hood.  I love the lines and bulges on the Cuda hood best.  I can stare at it for hours.  Especially while looking through the windshield.
