Because someone likely will pay it.. The block is a 64 casting but Chrysler cast allot of blocks in 64 and used them for allot of years..  His magnesium cross ram is a 68, he has the carbs, there is allot of rare stuff there, it's gonna take someone who knows the vintage race hemi's to tell exactly whats there but if it's what he claims he'll get his money....

Why do you pay way to much for rusty cars with an M46 on the tag but you question why others might pay decent money for stuff thats much rarer....

RUNCHARGER

Hard to say. He's advertising the #'s, hard to say if they'll even magnaflux ok. The standard bore block is worth good money but it could well have cracked main saddles making it worth nothing. Those intakes aren't hard to find either.

I don't know anything about pre 69 mopars. So asking questions helps me understand   There have been several yards I have walked that had older mopar stuff but I knew nothing about them.
Can't purchase Hemi stuff if I don't understand the values and what things are.

And I like scoops.  I'd gladly buy other body models that have scoop options if I were to bump into them.

I don't see these year blocks often at all on the web search's.
A 69-71 Block I totally understand the value of the blocks and run into them often.

So.....  Is this stuff worth that asking price then?
Is that a typical price on this kind of stuff?
I'm assuming s/s is super stock?
Were these used in actual race programs?
