I live in CT and am interested in a "affordable" 1970 'Cuda. So I found this CL listing in nearby Boston.
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/d/1970-plymouth-bs23-real-340/6446724886.html

Now I've seen this on CL for almost a year, so i instantly recognized the car;again. Keep in mind, it's listed in Boston MA. So I played dumb and asked where I could go see it ;again.
I get:
"Hi Steve, The Cuda is still in California, 20 miles south of San Francisco, where it's been for the last 48 years.
Never been out of state, and never been in salt. If your a serious buyer for an investment level Cuda call me for the details. Tony -"

When I asked him the most basic of questions, he refused to answer and wanted me to call him. Is anyone familiar with this car and why it's still for sale a year later? A scam car?
Thanks Steve

 I remember seeing it for sale, the weird hockey stripe gives that car away.

Cuda Cody

Ya, the stripe is really odd and I recall seeing it too at some point in time.

303 Mopar

This poor car has been for sale for a long time. Beyond what is obvious in the pics, that car must have some serious issues and the seller seems shady. I would look elsewhere.

HP_Cuda

A local buddy of mine who owns his own body shop got to take a look at this one. Basically if you take a look at the engine compartment - that's what you get. It's pretty rusty for a California car and his price is just stupid is why he kept trying to do a package deal to offload it.

I'd pass on this one.

1970 Cuda clone 440 4 speed FJ5
1975 Dodge Power Wagon W200

That car has been for sale for YEARS :o

Looks like FJ6 NOT Lime Lite FJ5 :pullinghair:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

This car again. It's been for sale since the dawn of the internet. I am really amazed by now he has not tried to use new pictures for it.

This exact car was debated to death many times on C-C.
Someday I will have a J0b.

Pentastarnut

something is definitely fishy with that car ( pun intended  :sorry:) stay away

There's definitely some other interesting cars in the background of his pictures. A Challenger, Charger, an old woody in front of Charger, etc. Is it his shop I wonder?

The pic use to be bigger ... and it looks really "grungy" in there compared to the outside.  :barf:

I go to the bay area periodically and the last time I was there I was going to head over and take a look at it. However, after I read so much negative stuff about it I decided not to bother. I kind of regret not going now. While I was there I should have at least gone and looked at it. Who knows ... maybe it's as bad as it's made out to be ... or maybe it's just getting a bad rap?? Next time I'm out there, if it's still around, I'm going to go give it the once over.
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Ok cool. Im not thrilled about purchasing on the other coast anyway unless I had it professionally evaluated. And it sounds like its not worth it.
