No fender tag.  when someone "repainted" the engine bay the wrong color, they didn't replace the tag.  However he can't get into the glove box so he doesn't know what's in there.
he's gonna try to look for a build sheet in the seats.  But being a california car I doubt it.

And why does it have to be yellow.   Yuck.  I could have purchased Gordon's yellow M46 but kind of passed on it.  Ended up finding an ev2 instead.

Can anyone tell if the convertible parts are real?  Original?  Cut from another car?

I don't understand why the price is already at 18K plus.  Can someone tell me why it's that high already?

there are no factory convertible parts - the roof is cut off & some form of custom convertible top is attached by snaps front & rear

either his friends are puffing up the bid ,or some poor suckers think its a real convertible.

Obvious someone knows how rare M46 Barracudas are

But rare doesn't mean valuable.   It's just a bh car.  Yellow at that. With no tag. no b.s.  Not sure about stamps or vin yet.
This car should sell for 10K to 13K like all the other ones in this shape.

Someone needs to go check it out. Open the doors then put it on a lift to check out the undercarriage.

No, someone needs to leave it right where it is.....

Has anyone looked at the video?  You can see a lot of the car.  The videography is pretty crappy but the quality of video is pretty good.  It appears to be pretty clean.
I can't get the video to load so I am unsure how to post it here.

1.Is the luggage rack an original unit?  Is it mounted correctly on the underside?

2.In a few frames you can see a frame system for the convertible top.  Can someone confirm that it is not original equipment.

3.I can see silver in the engine bay in some areas, I think.  Can anyone see enough to know the car was originally yellow.
the reflective stripe has been painted over with the black out color.
4.A few of the scratch's appear to be grey underneath the yellow paint.  Is that an original primer color?

The guy can't find a build sheet.  Some "shop" had it to repaint the engine bay. They prepped it and apparently might have the fender tag.  But he can't get ahold of them.
Body numbers match the vin and door tag and title.

I'm not a 70 Cuda convertible guy, but doesn't the windshield frame shed some light as to whether or not this is a real vert or just a roof cutoff car?

Nobody is saying it's a real convertible, it's pretty obvious it's not. :dunno:  It's a real M46 car which is even better  :)

I'm mostly wondering if any of the parts for the vert roof are original in any form.  If anything is resalable

The fender tag is lost.  So my value for the car goes way down. Also the owner can't find any proof of what color the stripe was. If the stripe was the blue stripe my personal value of the car goes up a good bit.

The head bidder has already backed out.  He "didn't realize it wasn't a real vert".   What's wrong with people.  It's obviously a bh as listed.

Ok so no answers on the 4 above.  Can someone give me what value they feel the car is ?
9K?  rebuilt motor make it worth 14K?

There are no real convertible parts on that....
