'71 Cuda 340 4 spd - IA

This is a real 1971 Cuda 340 4spd N96 shaker hood. Very rare and hard to find 340 4 spd with shaker hood! Original fender tag, build sheet and door VIN sticker still with car. The car is currently in a storage unit and I do not have the time to restore it. I work in a restoration shop and always working on customer cars. Not only is this a N96 shaker hood car but it is a 4 speed and 3:91 8 3/4 rear end. The car still retains it's original GF3 green paint. The motor and transmission are not original to car but they are a VIN matched era correct 340 4spd(cast date on motor is 8-24-70). VIN on Cowl, radiator support and dash all match. As you can see in pictures, the car is not free of rust. There is rust through front inner fenders, lower quarters, trunk drops, trunk pan and small areas on floor pans. Frame rails, rockers, roof, cowl, and doors are solid. Fenders are solid, but have some dents and bent edges. I am also including both NOS inner fenders, NOS front valance, and two used rear valances with dual exhaust cutouts. I do not have the shaker hood components, but a solid original sport hood will go with the car. Has minor damage on right rear quarter, but will need new quarters to repair rust anyway. Majority of interior is intact. Some one replaced the leather front seats with vinyl and swapped interior door panels without the wood grain inserts,but rear panels still have inserts(Leather seat option also came with the gran coupe style interior panels).

Obviously your not old school... in the late 70's I drove a 440-6 Challenger equipped with a 4.10 Dana from Modesto to San Diego & back (about 1400 miles)... A 340 loves to rev.... 3.91's while nothing like driving a modern car honestly are no problem for freeway driving... with 3.91 gears and a 28" tall tire (275/60-15) 75 MPH is 3500 rpm's..... A 340 will do that for hours on end with no complaints....  New cars have spoiled all of us, but the old cars would still get it done...

Well the drive to San Diego was around 3700 rpm's for eight hours each way plus the running around down in San Diego...  No Problem.... Loud? Yes!!
