'71 gill fender $200

Man, the reproduction market has really brought the prices on those down.  Even rough shaped 71 fenders would have brought big money if they were clean from rust but now with new metal it's hard to get much for a fender that needs work. I think the price is really fair from a quick glance at the photos.

That fender needs quite a bit of metal finishing and then will require a skim coat of filler afterwards....it's a body shop nightmare...Most people would opt for the cheaper option of a replacement fender....You're right AMD has killed the market for original pieces.

The amount of time it would take to make that fender right would definitely go over the price of a new AMD fender.

In the end, you would be ahead of the game just buying a new one.

That sure is a rustfree piece though. The antennae hole is certainly professionally done. It is definitely worth the price for someone, maybe to use for parts to fix another fender.
