hmmmm....   fender tag says FC7, but my understanding was that plum crazy was not available
after 1971.

Special order?    Fake tag?    ...?

If legit factory purple in 1973 could make this one quite rare

No, you're exactly right, just without the question marks.....You should say "special order fake tag"

No FC7 in 73 and especially with blue interior  :alan2cents:

If it was original, it would have a 999 paint code. :drinkingbud:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Front seat pattern is earlier style and doesn't match the correct pattern rear seats. Interesting it has the overflow tank. I believe those were 74 only items.
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.

That thing is a complete mess.  :o  Has anyone ever seen a VIN stamped on top the radiator support?  I haven't but I'm also not sure if some later cars had that. I thought the point was to be kind of hidden for theft purposes.

VIN #s on top of rad support is correct.  The coolant decal was placed on top of the stamp on mine.

:iagree: with you and Alan: Fake Fender tag.

IMO it is impossible that a car with sequence number 597720 has a scheduled production date of 119 (19 January 1973). In the best case the 7 (July) has been mistaken for a 1 (January). See also the '73 VIN numbers below with their scheduled production dates:

JH23H3B230199 > A31
JH23G3B257285 > C06
JH23H3B317562 > 129
JH23H3B386923 > 312
JH23H3B438936 > 416
JH23H3B557521 > 703

This one also got the "factory" FC7 glove box door. Very rare indeed.
