add shaker hood? $2650 for the shaker bubble & air cleaner raw  Plus $850 for the hood & another $300 for the trim ring.... Also raw...

So now you need to paint the raw parts... Which makes you take a hard look at the rest of the paint & likely decide to paint the whole car....  Now your dropping 10-15K assuming you don't find any evidence of the dreaded tin worm.... And you'd better expect to find evidence or your only kidding yourself... So now your in another 25K+....   Smart money is put the bumper on it & have it matched to the old paint & go have fun....

so to swap the 318 to a 340......what all would have to be done?

Motor mount on the passenger side is the same, drivers side the engine bracket is different but plenty have used the 318 bracket & a spacer...  360 bracket is the same as 340...

Exhaust you could choke a 340 with stock 318 exhaust but chances are that car already has had dual exhaust added... Personally I'd use some shorty headers & a full new 2.5 exhaust...

Brackets & pulleys interchange, throttle linkage & kickdown are different due to the 4bbl...
