Did he just turn his hardtop in to a convertible?

There are a lot of conversions out there, one of our members sells the kit to make them, or at least he use to....

Guy states in the ad it's not original  :dunno:

I wouldn't think an R/T would be the best core to use for that.

I hope who ever did this conversion at least put in torque boxes in it, preferable A complete body stiffening kit!!!  :alan2cents:

I'd like to see the body stampings on the cowl & radiator support....   It does appear to have subframe connectors which may or may not be because it started life with a roof..... But the trunk shots don't look like anything has been changed in a long long time... And the pump brackets & modified trunk hinge supports have been convertible parts for years....   I tend to think the VIN was swapped.....

I don`t know if I would believe anything in this ad.

States there is a Dana 60 rear end, but it is clearly an 8 3/4 from the picture.

I tend to disagree....the hinge brackets/inner wheel tubs look like a mess covered in tar and splatter paint. the clear fact is the hardtop spare tire bracket. Yes the trunk area looks old, but who's to say the conversion wasn't done 20 years ago  :dunno:

Good catch on the tire hold down....  Could be.... Just looks like it's been that way a really long time & I think it looks untouched cause when I do work I try to make it look clean & then I try to keep it that way....
