It looks great but it's 45-50 years old. That makes me wonder how it will be before it does crack, or will it?  :dunno:

Only 40 years old at worst, but yeah, how long until it does crack, 1 year, more, less?

I tell all my customers....The original ones won't like being exposed to heat/cold cycles and likely won't last ...

Not to say you guys aren't wrong. Any of those original plastic interior pieces can have their problems when found and reused. They dry out, out gas get chalky and brittle and the cracks will sneak up on you. Speaking personally Back in the late 90's early 2000's I was in need of a replacement dash pad desperately. The one in my car had more canyons in it than the state of Arizona. I was very fortunate to find a black OE non-air, 3-speaker (with speakers and grills) for $100.00, during that time. It's been in the car ever since, not a blemish, or a crack nor fading has been noticed. I cover it and wipe it down every 2 months ( this includes the rest of interior plastic) with 303 aerospace protectant. All interior trim is OE and looks new. Just food for thought.  Thanks,   Al

I just restored five 1970 Challengers and they ALL have original mint dash pads in them...some of my customers want original pads, some don't  :dunno:

I prefer original pads over repos, they're just tough to find in a blistering hot Texas.  You Northern guys have the best interior pieces.  Still looking 70 Cuda, black, non-air pad.

The pad in my 71 Barracuda is original. It got resprayed by the restorer in 2007-2008 along with the other interior parts but it still looks new.

My car has an original that is 49 years old and still looks new. It depends how it was treated in its life I guess

I think that's everything. I'd be nervous about buying one unseen
