I agree, very complete... And 10K Canadian is what around 8k?  Not terrible...  Wonder if 0B296015 still exists.....

Air Cleaner $1800
Manifold & Carbs  $1500+
Exhaust Manifolds $500
T/A Heads with correct rockers  $1000?
And a std bore T/A 340 $4000?

Probably light on the complete oem head price but hard to say, still a decent buy with everything pictured. Piecing this all together would cost more and take some time!

How do you know the exact details by looking at the VIN on the motor ? Is the car in a registry ? Does it still exist ?
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I don't know where 6bbl GT got his info but Barry W.  has it in his registry but the most current info on it is from 1985....

no, it was not a Canada spec. Y07 car. (it is Y05)

I have VINs for ~3000 of the "TRANS AM" e-bodies (collected from everywhere)
I have good fender tag info for less than 1/3 of those (most should be accurate but I'm sure there are some modified reproduction tags)
I have limited info on another ~1/3 (many are word of mouth or from older defunct registries, accuracy isn't bulletproof & may not catch a color/transmission change or added OPTION)

I got lucky with the last 2 partial A53 VIN postings
BS23J0B296015 was previously registered in an on-line "E-body Registry" from the mid-'90s (defunct for at least 15 years) - I also had the note "Engine in Canada" (the current engine owner may be the source of info?)

& I can accurately determine when a "TRANS AM" e-body was being built "In Plant/In Process"  https://forum.e-bodies.org/vin-fender-tag-build-sheet-and-date-codes/13/actual-production-date-vs-scheduled-production-date/810/

I know @6bblgt  will not toot his own horn, but I can tell you that Barry got a lot of info from 6bblgt (Dan) over the years.  Dan has been a very helpful and sharing guy over the years.   He is a true asset to the Mopar hobby.  As Barry is too.  They both do great work and we are lucky to have them.  What is great about Dan is he will share non personal info about cars when it helps the hobby.  I can not say enough good things about Dan and all the time he spends to help others.
