Part 2 because this thread covers nearly everything in great detail thanks to @Poolshark314
https://forum.e-bodies.org/electrical-and-audio/11/alternator-bypass-wire-routing/18432/

However, now that I am doing this bypass I have a couple other questions not covered in the original thread.
It appears the bypass may have been done on my cuda prior to me owning it. Purchased in 1991.

> My alternator has 2 wires coming off the main pos bolt. 1 goes directly to the battery and the other goes to the ignition coil. Is the direct to battery connection correct on this?
> I read everywhere that the bypass goes from the alt to the starter relay. Do I keep the direct to battery wire and add an ALT to starter relay wire?
> My starter relay has 2 wires coming off...1 to the bulkhead fusebox and 1 direct to the battery.

Please forgive my ignorance in electrical functions :/

I guess you can do it that way. It accomplishes the same thing. It should have a fusible link though.

Not sure about the wire going direct to coil though.

Okay, I think I got this...
> Going to replace the existing old Positive wire from Alt and run a new 10g wire/12g fuse able link from the Alt to Starter relay. ( The usual bypass everyone suggests.)
> That leaves me with an extra Positive lead from battery, gonna use that to power the headlight relays upgrade.
> Connect the Ammeter wires to the back of my cool Volt meter modification and add ground wire. Via this GREAT thread here...

> Purchase engine block wiring harness from Classic Industries and start that fun upgrade.
