what was the original mounting direction for a 71 cuda 340 (with electronic ignition) ballast resistor?

I see they are mounted by wiper motor, as a factory hole and bump is there...but which rotation?
I see some like this "upside down" while others are flipped....what were they originally?

Don't think any '71's had electronic ignition originally, so put it like a '73? Which is the yellow one I think. But they had a dual.

I have a 73 Cuda with stock holes.  Let me know and I will post pics of anything you need.  Tag me by using the @ button with my name nsmall so try @nsm and my profile will come up and click it and I will be tagged.

All E bodies had a ballast , with points it was a single ballast with Electronic it was a dual , 71 would hve a single ballast & newer ECUs only have 4 connectors rather than 5 like the point type ign  & run properly with just a single ballast .
I thought there was a second hole in the strap around the ballast & a nub beside the screw hole to locate the ballast

You are correct CP, on the original ones anyway.
