Jim at JS Restorations restored my Clutch Safety Switch (CSS).   It is now the nicest looking item under my dash and it works perfectly.   The "before" and "after" pictures Jim took are shown below.   In case you're wondering, I had specifically told Jim that I didn't need the full length of the green wire or the firewall grommet since I was going to reconnect the CSS to the existing wiring under the dash.

Background: I was having issues getting the engine to crank reliably.   My volt meter indicated there was continuity when the CSS was closed, but the engine wouldn't crank consistently until I put a jumper wire between the terminal on the starter relay for the CSS (green wire) and the frame.   Because of my oh-so-gentle touch while troubleshooting, the brass terminal for the wire on the CSS broke, so I had tried to fix it by soldering it back on.  I don't think this helped my situation.

Jim's testing confirmed that the switch was closing, but the connection was so weak that he was surprised I got the motor to crank at all with the "before" version.

I know Jim is not on this forum any more, but in my book he's still the guy you want to go to get your switch restorations done.
