cuda fender top turn indicator light

I installed a new repro set of top fender turn signals into a 'cuda, but I am a little confused as when the 1 wire bottom "socket" is screwed up into the fender light mount plate it tightens but the light (orange colored) insert are loose, there fore the light doesn't always work.  and if you wiggle it, it does. but the orange "lense" can move up and down inside the housing...so is there to be some type of spacer or "lock" washer? as the "lense" is loose inside housing even when bulb socket/wire lead is tight... if someone could post a pic of the entire fender top indicator light set up with all parts that would be great.
I have a feeling I am missing a piece.
