First picture is the ALT red wire from the fusible link
In the second picture (brown oval) is the tap offs(splice) for the Black Alt wire (it's R6A-12BK). Between the 2 colored schematics in this thread you'll be able to see all the places that black ALT wire goes to.

ok thank you all, so I got the tach and clock done. onto the alt it seems that this org ammeter style is not a favorite and volt gauge is the way to go. but I wonder has anyone simply wired the stock ammeter (alt) gauge to a separate connection from a fused "ignition on" power source, and not have it ran with any part of the charge circuit?

so would it simply monitor the current power in the entire system then?
safe?

Thought I would slip in here for a moment, didn't want to start a new thread, but I'm finishing a new wiring harness also.   For the solid 5v Voltage limiter, who sells these?   Does anyone sell the old version with the capacitor?

Thanx!
