I need some help.

67 barracuda original small block car.  now has 400.  cammed, but barely.
Got the car back. Had double pumper.  would just die every time I hit the gas and let off.  rich.
tried adjusting floats, jets, timing.   as usual double pumper runs like crap up here.
Figured I'd just throw this good ole trusty vacuum secondary on so I can at least drive this hunk of crap.
Got carb installed and all back together.
Go to start car.  No spark.

Long story short.  Replaced distributor, altenator, voltage regulator, electronic control unit. Cleaned every ground bolt, surface, and hole I can find.  Ballast resistor is new as well.

When I have the key in the off position, unplug the coil, remote start the car I get no juice at either hole in coil wire connection.
this is supposed to have a 12V at coil positive while cranking I believe.   I get nothing.

Would this perhaps be a blue or brown wire that goes from starter to coil lead?  broken or burnt or grounded?

not sure what you mean by remote start ... shorting the relay sends no power to the ignition system
Brown wire gets power to the coil while ignition switch is turned to the start position... Blue wire gets power to the ballast resistor after the ignition switch returns to the run position..

What's the gap setting on the distributor?

A remote starter switch connected to the starter relay box at positive and starter posts.

And I'm venting a little. Sometimes it just drives me crazy.

I'll get to the bottom of this eventually. The car is parked behind my harley and I can't go take a stress reliever ride!!

If the key is off you will not have any spark ,
If you unplug the dist the coil should fire a spark [key on]

You should have 13.2 v at the dark blue wire from the ign ballast votage reg , alt field if you don't you could have a problem at the ign plug or bulkhead connector

It should be tighter, but 010 is most likely good enough..

Is 11.25 enough juice?  brand new gel battery and I put a charge on it.

9.8 is low enough the ign may not fire

cuda hunter

I was afraid of that.  I'll put a charger on it and re check all the numbers.

Bullitt-

if your ignition voltage is dropping to less than 1-volt while cranking there's an issue, probably in the wiring at the bulkhead connectors or to the ignition switch.
Your battery readings don't seem up to par either. A fully charged battery should be reading more like 12.5-volts... it will drop to something like 9 - 10 volts while cranking.

To isolate the issue consider making a jumper wire from the +post of the battery to where the brown wire connects to the ignition, that should allow you to get spark/fire the engine & know that the coil & distributor are ok..
