Static drone through speakers all the sudden?? Radio off.

The other day I started getting a low static drone through the speakers sporadically when I accelerate from idle or just accelerate.
If I didn't know better it almost sounds like it is coming from the old dash speaker that is NOT hooked up and wires torn out of the cone. I suppose I can yank the whole thing out like I should of done before the dash cover install  It is possible it is coming from my front speakers but just cannot tell yet.

I have just replaced the engine harness and installed the headlight relay but all was fine after those installs for a week or so.
Any idea of where/how this static drone is materializing?
