I am restoring my 1970 AAR Cuda, and have already purchased replacement wiring harnesses for most of the car with the exception of the ignition switch and turn signal switch harnesses.  Should I replace the ignition switch and turn signal switch as well?  The other wiring harnesses on the car definitely showed their age, but the ignition switch and turn signal switch harnesses don't look too bad.  Are the replacement ignition and turn signal switch harnesses as good as the originals?  Anybody still running with their originals?
Thanks for your input.

On my RT, I was forced to replace the ignition switch but I chose to reuse my turn signal switch since it seemed to work just fine. What I didn't realize was that the hazard switch was failing. I found out later that a faulty Hazard switch affects brake light operation. Every now and then the brake lights don't operate so I have to jiggle the hazard switch until they work again. The new owner is aware and will swap it out but it annoyed me that everything was so nice except that.

On the next column I rebuild, I'm replacing them both as a precaution. I do not know if some are better than others though so hopefully someone can advise on that.

You can find NOS ignition switches all over the place, the 70 ebody turn signal switch is a different story.  The flasher pull is unique to 70 ebody and you don't want to pay what an NOS is going to cost if you find one.  The reproductions are "ok", however, the flasher pull isn't remotely close to being correct.  At a minimum, you might consider having Jim at JS Restorations go thru your original, he does all my work.

Send them to Jim... In my experience the aftermarket T/S Switches & Ignition switches are junk... I've used a few & they always fail, I refuse to use them at all anymore... I have used NOS but lie Mike mentioned $$$ So Jim @ JS Restorations is your best option..

Cody's video starting around the 6:42 mark gives an excellent comparison of the different turn signal switches.
