What do you all do with the additional wires that need to run to the battery for clean power? I have wire coming from the MSD box, Dakota Digital dash, Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Gauge, and i also run an external electric fuel pump on a manual switch to get fuel closer to the engine mechanical pump.
Does it make sense to run a 6 ga wire from battery to a terminal block that the wires can be attached? I just hate seeing all the wires hanging off the battery post.

I don't have anything connected directly to the battery, don't like that look either.
I use the starter relay, it's right next to the battery.
You can also connect directly to the alternator.

Run a large aux wire to a fresh busspoint as you note.  Then hook all your aux stuff to buss.   Keeps the battery lug a bunch cleaner.
