Hi Guys,

I've installed a Tremec 5 speed in the challenger and I'm putting all of the wiring back in the car little by little and have questions.

The first 2 pictures are from the Tremec and are for the reverse light
The 3rd picture is what came off of the old trans from the cars wiring harness.

Are any of these for the reverse light or are 2 for the reverse light?  Will I be able to hook up the reverse lights?

I'm using a mechanical speedometer so I won't be using the Tremec's electronic speed sensor.  Thanks

Dave

the two outer wires in that plug are the reverse lights , the center is the neutral safety

Do I hook up the neutral safety?  Can that be done?

You will need to ground it somewhere , or build a jumper to ground at the relay on the inner fender , I doubt you have a switch on the clutch pedal although I have made a bracket & used a brake light switch against the clutch pedal so it will not start without at least partially depressing the clutch pedal

No, manual transmissions only get a clutch switch, which would go inside on the pedal.

Your reverse light will take the two outboard wires on your original wiring. It should be 12v in and when the trans is in reverse, it will send that 12v to the reverse lights.

One more question I do have a Neutral Safety Switch coming off the new trans see pic.  Can I take the center wire from the pic above from the original socket and terminate it in one side of the new socket and terminate the other to a ground?

You can test it with an Ohmeter , if it is closed in N but open in any gear that would work
