I am 99% sure my brake light issue is a signal switch issue. So here's how I did it. Thought maybe this would help somebody down the line As the crush can thing can be intimidating.

My Tuff wheels is an original MOPAR part ,altho not available in 70 (?) So there was no adapter required

I made a tool for the can removal out of 2 different puller sets and some long bolts. This required a trip to the shop and to Home Depot

The rest is take off the mount bracket and the harness cover. I did loosed at the firewall slightly to gain a give. The harness will snake out one this is done

At least it looks like your column was already modified for a 71+ style switch....and it will be easy to get a replacement if that's your plan. :alan2cents: :bigthumb:

I love the tough-wheel, even if not available in 70 E-body. Mine's not as nice, need to do some restoration.
Nice walk-thru of the R&R.

Got my wheel at MOPARS on the Mississippi swap meet / car show years ago. A little Maguire's and there you have it  :burnout:

I know the tuffys aren't correct but they are a great addition especially if you drive your car.
