Who is making the best restoration battery now?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently looking to replace the battery in my Duster, I have an old one that looks like an OE mopar battery. I'd like to replace it with one that looks as original. Who is making the best  restoration/ OE looking batteries right now? I had one that was made by turbo start years ago in my Challenger and it was absolute trash. trying not to be burned again. I'd also consider people who gut the old battery and put in a new one. Price is mildly a concern but not huge.

ideas, opinions? I really know zero about car batteries.

I am located in Eastern Ontario, Canada for reference but close to the US border so not afraid to drive to NY state to get one shipped.

I believe this is who I bought mine from 2-3 years back.  It's actually a modern maintenance free battery made to look like an original.  It took a couple of months to get it.  I don't think they keep them in stock, but make them as ordered.  I keep mine hooked up to a battery tender and it's still going strong.

Batterycentral is where I got mine in 2020.  They were made by Jims Battery.  You can also read this thread.  Back then I called and spoke to Wayne, he answered all questions including that his battery is made by Jim's and they are made to order.  Took about 5 weeks to get and it is well packed for shipping just like the link below.

I just ordered a yellow cap from Battery Central - they fulfilled the order through Turbo Start.

Make sure you check it over right away. First battery was damaged by Fed Ex - Wayne took of it promptly with Turbo Start. Great customer service!

I had a Turbostart back in 2009 and it lasted 11yrs.  Turbostart should be an agm battery just like any other agm manufactured battery.  Jim's battery makes them with a Mopar case and an alternate smaller battery inside.
