I am working on my wiper assembly and need help identifying what I have.  I have 2 motors.  The black one came on the car and I determined that it was the culprit that fried the wire harness.  The other is one I picked up years ago.  Not sure but I think the black one is a 2 speed but how can I tell?  Also I have 2 sets of linkage.  They both have the same part numbers on them.  Can someone tell me if they are for a 2 or 3 speed?  I appreciate the help.

those are 3-speed (variable) wiper motors - here's a pic of a 2-speed

& a parts list on the linkage

there is a 7-digit part number on the barrel of the motors you have, got pics?  :takepicture:

what are you working on?

Here are the numbers on the motors:

3799024, 73692, 2256

second motor:
3799024, 73692, 0305

Is the linkage I have correct for 3 speed motor?  Also, looking at the motors, the part that the wiper linkage attaches to looks clocked different on the one motor.  Wonder if it may be for a different vehicle.  Mine is a 1972 Barracuda.
Thanks

second motor:

Part numbers are the same, motors should be the same... first motor was built August 13th 1976 , second motor was January 30th 1975

Thanks for the info.  I got my head straight on it now.
