1968 vs 1969 340 Engine paint

I've got two short blocks, one year apart. the '68 is light turquoise, the '69 Hemi Orange. Are both these blocks the correct respective colors?

casting dates for the most part have nothing to do with the model year the engine was actually used in production

look on the front of the engines under the driver's side head & they will be stamped EW340 (1969 model year) & FW340 (1970 model year)     got pics

1968 model year 340s (EW340) were painted RED

Bulletin referencing among others, the 340 change from 1968 Red to turquoise for 1969.

Yep, and that's the colour of my 340 that came out of a 68 Dart GTS and that was cast in late '67.

VIN stamping pics?   

The VIN on the 9/10/68 block comes out to going into a 1969 Dodge Dart in Hamtramck, MI.
The VIN on the 7/10/69 block is incomplete. What I can read appears to be 03164770. Is the three a "B"? Maybe. It would come out as a 1970 Hamtramck made car.

the first half of the '69 model year stamped the full VIN on engine & transmission 

the '70 340 engine is from a 'cuda - wonder if it is still out there .... either:
