So, the car as most may know has been sitting a while. But when it is off and parked we have been going from N to R for the key and doing all we are doing there may be an issue.

Its just really hard to get into reverse and out of.........   are there any adjustments?  Places to look at or things?

The shifter probably needs to be throughly cleaned & re-greased, but even just adjusting it may help....

If You haven't you should download the 1970/71 Plymouth service manual that is on this site, it has everything you need and lots of pics.

I have it on a tablet I use in the garage. It's in the resources area on here.

Likely stiff from sitting so long :dunno:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I find the reverse levers are quite often loose (as in the nut is backed off) or the hole in the lever is elongated. Just 2 easy things to check.
