I've had my Warlock for two years and have only put about 3,000 miles on it. The engine is stock with a retrofitted factory 4bbl intake and thunder avs carb. Just putted around, no towing or hauling worth mentioning.

I pulled the heads to swap them with some 2.02 jheads that I have and can't help but wonder why the original heads are like they are.

My lc2 wideband would show it running lean in the top end, about 15:1 but I rarely ran it up there because it was such a dog anyway. Cruising was a healthy 14-14.8 AFR. Idle and lower rpm acceleration was in the 12-13 AFR range and it gradually ran leaner.

It had no signs of vacuum leaks, stock full exhaust [manifolds] but it looks like the fuel distribution must have been off somewhere.

Thoughts?

 Those look like mine did, all exhaust where gone. I'm back together and AFR readings are same as yours.

Cruising at 14 range to me is a bit lean , what you have to remember is the exhaust valve takes all the heat hanging wide open in the middle of 2000* exhaust heat with no cooling until it closes .
IMO those look relatively normal to me , often the exhaust is a bit more brown like the middle valve

Agreed with above post. Mine also have looked like that. Would suspect fuel blends contribute as well.
