Well I decided to go back with 3.91's. My motor just responds better with them. Yes it turns 4000 rpm at 75mph. But it's a trade off I'm willing make. I like the way it pulls the rpm's faster with them. 3.55 wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Bead blasted and powder coated the original case and built a new fresh unit for the Cuda.

Yep: Smallblocks just love 3.91's for some reason. I generally either run 3.23 or 3.91, for me 3.55's rev too much on the highway and don't give enough grunt for a trade off. 3.91's rev on the highway too but the acceleration is worth it.

That is exactly how I feel about it. The 3.55 is the middle of the road but not great at anything behind a 340.  BB is another story. They seem to like the 3.55.
