Early A-body 833 Ball & trunnion with a broken front bearing retainer. Not the most desirable 4-Speed. Although the B&T is a stronger joint/connection than the splined yolk, it's not that popular.
You would (at the least) have to replace the output shaft AND rear housing to modify to a splined end.   Unless it's dirt cheap or the guts are in great condition and you need them, I'd pass.
But That's just my  :alan2cents:
The bellhousing cast # shows for 65-66 big block b-c body.

true , missed the flange on the output shaft

A young man, 17, who lives up the street from me purchased this and the bell housing and a fork for 600.00.
He didn't know what it was, but since it was mopar he figured it would be worth more than a typical 4 speed.
He's a truck guy and has not seen the light of muscle cars yet.  I'm trying to show him that.
He stops by with random questions and sometimes with leads.
He just told me about a fella here we call mopar pete.  pete was in vietnam, messed up his arm pretty bad.  came back, retired from napa over the years.  now he's getting too old to work on cars any more. He has a huge collection of mopar parts, no hemi stuff, but just a ton of cataloged parts.   I'm going to have a sit down with him and maybe offer him a collection buy out.
Depends on what the catalog looks like now that I am more knowledged in mopar.  I will be posting some lists when I catch him outside.  He's hard to catch, Recluse. Health problems and such.

Anyway, long type and read.  Sorry about that.

If he got the kid for $600 for that trans he's not giving any bargins..... I know where I can get two transmissions just like that for $100 each & I haven't brought them home....

RUNCHARGER

This one might have the 3.09 first in it?

I know someone looking for that bell housing. But expensive to ship, it's painted so don't know if cracked...about a $200-250 bell.

Trans is like 100-150.

Both look like spray bombed to sell/flip. Typical of someone selling junk.

IIRC I don't believe the 3.09 1st was used that early
Ok I looked it up , 3.09 1st was used in 64-66

RUNCHARGER

That's what I thought, with a smallblock or slanty. I always wanted to try that gearset with a set of 2.94s.

I used the 3.09 in an OD with 4.30 gears , front wheels were up 2+ feet !!
