I have a junk 5.7 cam out of a truck. Don't know what year. Need to know what thread size the cam gear bolt is. Is it something special or just a standard metric thread? Using the cam in a non automotive situation. Wondering if the hardware store will have something that size.

I believe it's 13MM and it's fairly long.
1970 Cuda Yellow 440 4 speed (Sold)
1970 Cuda clone 440 4 speed FJ5
1975 Dodge Power Wagon W200

Chryco Psycho

you will want a hardened bolt , look for a 10.8 rating

Ok thanks. Ill see if the hardware store has something that big. A grade 5 would be overkill for what I'm doing with it.

For anyone that needs to know, the part # for the bolt is 6102430AA.  When you look it up it doesn't give the specs though.

I took the cam into the hardware store and a 12mm - 1.75 pitch, threaded into it.  :bigthumb:
