I have installed an aluminum rad into the fish and now I have to wire in the relay. I have to replace the current OEM coolant sensor (see pic below) with the one from the kit which is either threaded or a spade connection...I'll have a better look tomorrow. As you can see in the pic, it appears that the OEM coolant sensor has a hollow tube. I haven't chased it cuz I'm at work tonight so does anyone know where this sensor ends?

Thanks

That's nothing close to an "OEM" sensor. That is an aftermarket gauge sensor.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Yes apparently you're not using the factory gauge. That line is part of the aftermarket gauge and is permanently attached to the gauge and the brass fitting in the manifold is the seat for the sender.  Unless that manifold has another place to mount another fitting don't know what you're going to do.

Just my luck, the only other wet port in the Eddie Air Gap is for the heater hose...purchased and electric analog temp gauge today the will share the newly installed coolant temp sensor. Just some minor surgery and Ill be back on the street.

Thanks to those of you who chimed in. Ciao.

You only need one temp gauge so why not eliminate the mechanical gauge?

Where would I find the OEM temp gauge sensor? As I already std, there are only two ports on my Eddie RPM intake which one has been replaced with the new sensor from the electric fan I just installed and the other for the heater core. Thoughts?

From your picture it doesn't look like you have an oem sensor. Do you have the factory gauge or light setup or has that been changed. Do you have a rally dash or idiot lights. I would assume if it original their not working . You probably have the factory temp sender wire laying on the manifold somewhere.

Lol, as a matter of fact there is a wire on top of the manifold that is unaccounted for. :bigthumb:. I will trace it and see where she goes. Thank you Rich.
