833 four speed issue

The tranny is rebuilt.The clutch is new and new flywheel.I'm having trouble getting 2nd gear a lot.Sometimes it goes right in nice and other times the shifter cannot find it.When I adjusted the rods I used a drill bit to line of the rods.Could the 1st and 2nd gear rod be off by 1 or 2 turns on the adjustment.Any thoughts.Thanks

Sounds like it could be the same problem this guy had... Solution was in the shift lever
