Anyone Try the Edelbrock Port EFI for SB?

I've been reading a lot about the Holley Sniper and FI Tech throttle body EFI systems.  In looking around I came across Edelbrock.  They have a port EFI system that looks pretty complete for the small block.  It's on a Victor single plane manifold, so I'm not sure how well it will clear an E-body hood.  You'll still need to add the pump, tank and lines, but it looks good especially if the distributor is included.

wow no takers on this one?  Thought it was a step above the FI Tech and almost as good as heading down the Gen 3 Hemi route.

The Pro Flo 4 is almost twice the price and more complex than the FITech and Sniper solutions so it probably hasn't seen near the usage.  There are threads on FABO discussing it and I think the reviews on the latest version have been positive.  Comes down to what you want or need. The throttle body units do what most guys want, start easily and run smoothly compared to 50 year old carburetors.  Port injection is really more performance oriented, and Mopar hasn't been as strongly supported with intake options as the brand X stuff has been.

Better than in the past but still limited.... Back in the 80's a buddy made adapter plates & bolted a Chevy TPI unit on his 360..... Actually worked pretty well....

Agreed, it is getting better but the small block Mopar seems to be last in line for development and we all are well aware of that.  Case in point, the only ProFlo 4 intake is the carb based Victor.  The BB Mopar, Chevy, and Ferds can have one of the "cool" tubular log intakes

I still want to figure out how to adapt individual throttle bodies to my small block.  Get some other stuff out of the way and I'll get to it someday.  I have a set of these to play with.  The physical is fairly straight forward, the injector control is the trick.

I currently have the manifold on mine. Current setup the rails are plugged off to allow usage with carburetor. End goal is custom plenum and utilization of Megasquirt EFI.
It will clear bulge hood not sure if enough with flat hoods.

Some creative stuff going on there!  Thanks for the FABO information.  Always forget about that site, but for stuff common to the era, its another resource.  I have a 2013 Challenger and not wanting to put a Gen3 Hemi in my 72.  The two cars contrast each other nicely.  The 72 could use a bit more "technology", so I'm looking into various EFI options.

How you use your car, and your budget, should drive what you get.  90-95% of guys are probably properly served by a good quality throttle body unit like the Sniper or FITech.  Easy-peasy lemon squeezy.  Bolt it on and go, after you take care of the pump and all that.  The other 5-10% are either performance oriented (I think road course stuff is more relevant) or just curious and like to tinker.

I built a Multi port EFI using parts from a number of manufacturers , it was awesome , it also used a pre drilled with fuel rails supplied Victor intake , the trick here is Accufab makes a 1200 CFM Throttle body that is only 1.7 inches high so even with the tall intake you hve room using the short T body
