replacing the Battery on my 73 Cuda for the first time since I purchased her. Seeing she had a 440 with cam transplanted into her, just wondering if there is a minimum battery size/cranking amps I should get?

440 cranking amps is what the original 440's came with. Just about any battery has more than that these days.

I always buy the largest CCA battery that is the same frame size as the factory original battery is.

Wet cell:
High CCA in a hot environment equals less lifespan.period.

High CCA is better suited for colder environments like Canada for example.

High CCA batteries have thinner plates and more of them.

More plates (thinner) in Hot weather equals higher chance of plates shorting out.

With AGM:
life is better. But remember, Cooling is cooling and Hotter is not better.
