This is 1972 340 I bought in 1982 for $100.00 dollars. It was a good deal even then. It has already been bored .020 over and all the rod and crank bearings are standard size. Do all these marking on the bottom mean anything?

Pretty cool! They most likely mean something to the person that rebuilt it, but I have never seen those markings from the factory.  Doesn't mean much since I've not seen that many blocks.

I haven't seen many blocke either, that's why I wondered if it's from the factory or the rebuild. Thanks for the opinion.

My 70 block had similar stamps along the oil pan rails, and it had not been rebuilt. Was stock bore, pistons, crank, pump, and bearings...

I had a 318 block that had marks like that from the factory.  The block was from an RV.  As I was told the Chrysler marine factory would build the blocks for the rv's and would in turn balance them and those marks were for the balancing process. ..??

This is just what I was told from an old fella.  Not sure if it's accurate.

Funny no one seems to know much about them because it had to take some time to do it and sounds somewhat common.
