Any input would be greatly appreciated.  I have a freshly build 340 auto 727   cam is hydraulic flat 224/224  high stall is 2500 rpm .I do have the factory AVS Carby but it needs a full rebuild. My Question is would a Edelbrock 650 AVS2 be a good fit for what I need . Second question will the factory black air air clear fit ? Thank you . :australia:

EV2RTSE

My brother is running an 800cfm AVS2 on his 70 383 at the suggestion of a well known builder in the hobby and it works well with his original air cleaner.

I believe the factory AVS for a 70 340 was rated around 625-650 cfm so this AVS2 should be a good match in that regard.

EV2RTSE I have been told that the Edelbrocks are a good carby just was not sure if the factory air cleaner would work thanks 4 your reply

Chryco Psycho

IMO Eddy are the worst carb available right now with minimal adjustabilty , I would run anything else & my fav is Proform , the AVS design is far better then the AFB design but still has very limited adjustability .
