Reposting as I need some help here - sent my carbs for basic rebuild and the shop ended up re-plating and restoring everything - it was a pleasant surprise but they discovered one center carb has the wrong accelerator arm and vapor return lever.  Anyone have a spare accelerator arm and lever they are interested in selling?

I found Chicago Carburetor online has a lot of parts, but they are looking at $150 for what I think I will need - anyone have experience with them, or can recommend another source.  I am going to call Harms today.

Also, would love some feedback on the finish - thanks
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Just call Scott at Harms...He is probably in Chicago at mcacn until next week.

These are my carbs from harms:

I also needed the lever and purchased from chicago, they sent me wrong one first time (same as yours in pic) and correct one second time (looks more like fish hook).    You can look on ebay if you know what to look for and maybe get lucky.

It took a while and it cost me $95 but I was glad to find one.   I can take a close-up of that area this evening if needed.

You obviously didn't send them to Harms, they would have ink stamps on them if you had, that comes standard with restoration from Harms.
The plating originally looked like the plating on your tail light housings, or on your grille turnsignal housings. It is basically impossible to duplicate today. Yours look very dull with no colour variations to them. It is hard to explain properly. I'll post a picture or two of some originals with fifty plus year old original plating.

Original plating from 1969-1970!

@198D13 thanks for the reply - I thought the finish looked off as well, but like I said, I had no idea they were going to refinish everything.  I was just wanting to get them in working order.  Ultimately I am hoping to find the accelerator linkage - seems like needle in a haystack but  :fingerscrossed:

Is it possible your center carb is not the correct one for your car?  May have current connections on it for a different application.

@fc7cuda, I was able to talk to the owner who had them from many years ago - he bought them about 20 years ago, and changed out the accelerator linkage to use on a Chevy Tri-Power set up he had - they sat on the intake manifold in his garage forever until he sold them to the guy I got everything from - funny thing is they are stamped with the letters from the guys who did the rebuild, and he was able to look up the original invoice - he is super old school with mountains of paper invoices - cool guy to know locally.  Either way, hoping to hunt down the right linkage if I can

Well, which carb is yours? The first picture has the wrong throttle linkage as well. I am in the process of restoring carbs. I say that because I am very picky about my plating and currently, my platter has had to stop temporarily. He uses a different process than the one you show above. It is too dull in my opinion.  Remember that even factory oem finishes vary somewhat in color but they normally don't look dull. It takes a special process. I may have to gear up and buy some equipment and do it myself. When Bill Overcash passed, it left me with no carb restoration place. I use his same sources. I hope to get going again after the first of the year. The vent bowl rod for the 70 up emission rod is easier to get and cost much less. The rod for the rubber vent stopper is impossible to find unless used. I have had some made and can sell them for lots less than $95 but don't have that many extra at the moment. I will post a picture of the set of carbs I have in the shop right now that show the color of plating that I can provide. It's on my phone so I have to add to this post.

The three carbs are a set of 70 4 speed carbs I have finished. The carb by itself is a sure enough NOS carb that has only seen the light of day one time. You be the judge on the color.

Sorry about the orientation of the picture. I can never get that right or correct it. PM me. I'd be glad to help.
